6 months

Oh my goodness how time flies! Griffith is already 6 months old and growing so fast! He weighed 15lbs 6oz at his 6 mth appt.

He has started to teeth with 2 started to cut in.  Luckily they haven't bothered him too much.
He is also a little more sturdy while sitting up. And likes to play with toys from this perspective.

He is such a happy boy and loves to laugh and smile.   His new favorite game is peak-a-boo and he can't get enough!

We started solid foods right before his 6 month birthday and he has definitely caught on. Loves apples and pears but is getting a taste for some veges too.

He now prefers to sleep on his stomach but I guess unlike the norm he can easily roll from back to stomach but has a hard time rolling back.  Luckily he really likes sleeping this way and with the help of his thumb or paci he mostly sleeps through the night :0)

We also are excited to graduate from the helmet on Dec 16th after only 5 1/2 weeks. Griffith made fast progress and now his sweet head is close to perfectly round :0) Perfect timing for Christmas pictures!

We are enjoying this Christmas season being so thankful for our precious boy. We can't imagine life without him or even really remember life before him! He is our heart and soul!

Such a big boy

Griffith is growing and learning so fast! He is starting to sit up more in seats and not lean as much and he also has started "scooting" while on his tummy. Definitely not crawling but he can make his way off his mat if he starts his scooting!  Such a big boy!!

More milestones

Well I'm not very good at keeping up with the blog or documenting Griffith's milestones so these posts seem to get grouped together.   But a lot has happened in the past couple of months!
Griffith had a great 4 month check up and weighed in at 13 lbs 11 oz.  He was 24.5" long and his head was 16.5" in diameter. Sweet growing boy!  At this appt our Dr suggested we get an evaluation for plagiocephaly (having a flat spot on the right side of his head). We did and agreed it was a good idea so G has a little helmet for 6-8 weeks.   His first day was Nov 7th and so far he has done great and doesn't even realize its on.
Another big moment for our family was Griffith's baptism and Mark and I joining the church of Trinity United Methodist Church on Nov 3rd.  Family came in for the occasion and it was beautiful.  And Griffith did great at the service!!  We are so lucky to have family and friends to help us bring Griffith up in a Christian environment!

But Griffith is now 5 months and we can't believe how fast he is growing up!  He is rolling over and loves to have conversations with us and himself :0) as well as screech loudly.   But he is such a happy baby and loves to laugh and giggle.  And he is so good when we are out and about! He loves seeing the world and people watching.
We had the whole family up for Clemson Homecoming on Sept 28th and Griffith got spoiled with watching his first college football game in a box.
We also had a great time at his first Carolina game on Nov 2nd and he loved the Fair in Charleston on Nov 7th!
So many fun memories and we are looking forward to many more with the holidays approaching!

Happy Halloween

Well we are a little behind on posts but to do a quick catch up Griffith is now 4 1/2 months old! It is crazy how fast he is growing and how quickly he is changing and learning.  He loves to grab his toes and is now putting them in his mouth! How are babies this flexible??  He has also learned to put his paci in (not always but he can do it if he tries!) And HE IS SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT AGAIN!! One happy mom here!  But he is a constant joy and we are so blessed!

We love this little pumpkin like crazy! Our cousins had a great halloween party with a hayride and everything! G had a blast watching all the other kids dressed up running around.  Hope everyone had a great Halloween!!

First Family vacation

We had our first family vacation the middle of August and took a trip down to Fernandina to meet the crew.  Sadly we didn't get any pictures of all the babies at the dinner table, but Griffith enjoyed getting to meet Harper, Caroline, & Lydia!  And of course all the adults! We miss this crowd so much!  But are so glad they all still live in a such a beautiful place so we can continue to take family vacations and visit them at the same time!

Girlfriends already!

Griffith has already gotten to meet 2 possible future girlfriends...  well most likely only 1 would be a girlfriend and the other would be off limits since they are twin sisters.  But my good college friend Betsy and Rob have adorable twin girls and we were able to capture a picture of them where none are crying!!  Sadly the girls were in their daddy's outfits at the time, cheering for UVA, haha, but don't worry, momma changed them into their Hokie dresses before VT's game started.
Can't wait to see these girls again soon and watch in amazement how they grow up too fast!  They are just a month younger than Griffith and holding them brought back great memories of him at that size!  Crazy how he has grown so much in just a month.

Barnwell Favorites

Griffith and I got to take a trip to Barnwell to see the wise ones of the family!  It was so much fun seeing Uncle Tommy with Griffith.  Griffith just stared up at him the whole 2 1/2 hours that Uncle
Tommy held him.  :o)  Aunt Lu got to grab him for a few minutes too.  It was so good to see everyone.  Always a big showing in Barnwell - Charles, Kim, Bradley and Anna Kate came by, as well as LuAnn.  Griffith is so lucky to be joining the Richardson family (Griffith, Greiner & Holland families too).

1 MONTH OLD ALREADY!

We cant believe he is already 1 month old!  He is growing and gaining weight, already up to 7 lbs 6 oz.  He is starting to enjoy tummy time and just hanging out, looking around.  But of course he gets held much of the day because he is just so sweet.  It has been so much fun getting to know our baby boy!

Tummy time!

And Griffith LOVES baths!  If he is fussy in the evenings, he is most likely ready for his bath and he just sits and relaxes in the warm water.

Getting out of the bath is a little different story, but we happened to get 1 good picture in the mix of him crying :o(

Griffith is loved by so many

With Griffith's arrival everyone came to visit!

Jed & Melissa drove up after work one evening.  This is one thing that is so great about being close to family!

Charles and Sharon were able to arrive about 30 min after Griffith came into the world.

Then Mom & Dad made it by Saturday and surprised us with arriving earlier than expected!

Blessed with Baby Griffith!!

Baby Griffith has blessed our lives and we are just so in love!
He is such a sweet boy and so healthy and perfect!

Griffith was born on June 11th at 5:16pm.
He weighed 6 lbs 5 oz and was 20.5" long.
Luckily I had a drs appt that morning because I wasn't feeling well and once there they diagnosed me with preeclampsia.  This meant I was getting induced right away much to my surprise.  But thanks to Sumter OB and the wonderful nurses at Tuomey it was a great experience!

Thank the Lord for Aunt Baylis!!
Mom & Dad and all our family were on a cruise and if it weren't for Baylis I would have been lost!

We made it home safe and sound and had to work to get Daisy used to her new brother!  She has done really well with Griffith, she just wants his paci and all his toys but we are working on it!
